Gaul Road is closed as a through route from Monday March 31 for approximately eight weeks. 

The closure is to enable the installation of a foul water rising main at the junction of Turnbull Road that will finish outside the Burmor development site.

Election of Mayor For the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority area

1. An election is to be held for a Mayor for the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough
   Combined Authority area on 1 May 2025.
2. Nomination papers can be obtained from the office of the Combined Authority
   Returning Officer, The Grange, Nutholt Lane, Ely, CB7 4EE.
3. Nomination papers must be delivered to the Combined Authority Returning Officer at
   The Grange, Nutholt Lane, Ely, CB7 4EE between 10am and 4pm on any working
   day after publication of this notice but no later than 2 April 2025.
4. The candidate’s £5,000 deposit can be paid by legal tender or by means of a
   banker’s draft from a drawer which carries on business as a banker in the United
   Kingdom. Please contact the Electoral Services office at East Cambridgeshire
   District Council for details on how to pay.
5. If the election is contested the poll will take place on 1 May 2025.
6. Applications to register to vote must reach the relevant Electoral Registration Officer
   by 12 midnight on 11 April 2025. Applications can be made online at
   https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.
7. Applications, amendments or cancellations of postal votes must reach the relevant
   Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on 14 April 2025. Applications for a postal vote
   can be made online at www.gov.uk/apply-postal-vote.
8. Applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the relevant Electoral
   Registration Officer by 5pm on 23 April 2025. Applications can be made online at
   www.gov.uk/apply-proxy-vote.
9. Applications for a voter authority certificate or an anonymous elector’s document valid
   for this election must reach the relevant Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on 23
   April 2025. Applications for a voter authority certificate can be made online at
   https://voter-authority-certificate-service.gov.uk.
10. Applications to vote by emergency proxy at this election must reach the relevant
    Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm 1 May 2025.
