Louise Hazel – 6th December 2010
Born in South London, but spending most of her childhood in March, Louise discovered athletics at the age of 10 and joined March Braza AC (now known as March Athletic Club). She was awarded the Freedom of the town to honour an exceptional career.
Lt. Col. Nigel Spencer MBE – 4th July 2022
On 5th September 2022, in accordance with Minute 60 of the meeting of March Town Council dated 4th July 2022, the Mayor, Councillor Kim French, presented Lieutenant Colonel Nigel Spencer MBE with a framed Freedom of the Town of March scroll in recognition of his services to the Town.
Janet French – 8th April 2024
On 1st July 2024, in accordance with Minute 7 of the meeting of March Town Council dated 8th April 2024, the Mayor, Councillor Gary Christy, presented Cllr J French the prestigious award of Honorary Freedom of the Town of March. Cllr J French, 5 times Mayor of March, has tirelessly and selflessly served the town for over 30 years, helping the vulnerable, advocating for the youth and armed forces, running committees to deliver wonderful community events in the town, providing FACT with its first fridge.
Robert Skoulding – 2nd June 2025
On 2nd June, in accordance with Minute 157 of the meeting of March Town Council dated 3rd February 2025, the Mayor, Cllr Andrew Woollard, presented Cllr Robert Skoulding with the Freedom of the Town in recognition of years of outstanding work, tirelessly fund-raising to provide defibrillators for the town (as well as servicing and maintaining them) saving countless lives over the years.
