Skippered Boat Trips on Fox Narrowboats March Explorer
Skippered boat trips offer the chance to get out on the river without having to steer the boat yourself. Departing from the marina, you will be taken on a trip through March, where your skipper will point out many interesting features that can only be seen from the river. Trips last 90 minutes.

23 April 2026: Open Public Meeting – March Christmas Lights
Everyone invited to an open meeting to discuss setting up a new, independent, Christmas Lights body.
If you wish to get involved, please come along and volunteer to assist.
Thursday 23 April 2026 – 6.30pm – Cassanos
26 April 2026: St George’s Day 🐉
A free to enter family event throughout March Town Centre, Library and West End Park.
- Opening parade at 10am from Robingoodfellows Lane
- Market place full of free arts activities and demonstrations
- Over 100 stalls, fun fair, and live entertainment will run throughout the day and many of the local shops and businesses will be open too.
- March Library will be opening offering a craft fayre, free children’s arts and crafts and a free drop in session from Cambridgeshire Library Presents.
- There will be many free and subsidised activities including circus skills and inflatables on West End Park.
- March Museum and March Lions at St Peter’s Church are taking part too so be sure to pay them a visit!

22 May 2026: Library Presents Once upon a time in Fenland (theatre)
Uncover the secrets of human existence (in Fenland). Go back in time: to the Romans and then into pre-history when Fenland was joined to the European continent. Fantastical, funny and thought-provoking tales told by an intrepid team of archaeologists. Based on artefacts from the most important archaeological dig in Northern Europe this show is a mix of fact and fiction. Featuring genuine artefacts over 2000 years old and million-year-old footprints. Told with live music, animation and performed in a yurt.
